Mike and Monica Wyatt, the husband and wife team that own and operate First Shot Outfitters, are hands-on and will most likely be personally taking care of your hunting group. Mike's enthusiasm for hunting is refreshing and infectious, and his wife Monica's love for cooking complements the operation perfectly. First Shot Outfitters isn't just a weekend hobby for the Wyatts—the hunting operation is their passion and way of life, thus producing a first-class hunting adventure for hunting enthusiasts across the world since 1999.
The Land
First Shot Outfitters takes great pride in having access to such large, prime, and expertly managed Texas hunting ranches. The ranch's terrain consists of native pasture land, gentle rolling grassy plains, mesquite flats, prickly pear patches, and over 72 freshwater lakes. With over 600,000 acres, these ranches constantly produce a great abundance of wildlife. Offering some of the very best free-roaming (that is, no high fences) 100% wild, fully outfitted, hunting adventures available. An outfitter's job is to know where the best population of the game you seek is and then put you in the middle of it. Mike is very efficient in doing this by controlling over 600,000 acres of the finest and largest hunting ranches in Coleman County, Callahan County, Taylor County, Mitchell County, Sterling County, McMullen County, Tom Green County, Irion County, Concho County, Crockett County, Kimble County, Schleicher County, Runnels County, Collingsworth County, Brown County, and Cottle County.
